About this space

The community asked for a kitchen in the style of a marae kitchen – one big enough to feed the whole community, not just cater a meeting. That is what was built.

It opens directly into Pekerangi Hall through a servery, so food goes straight from the bench to the tables without anyone carrying it down a corridor. There is a pantry with its own external door for deliveries.
